The obvious deficit in responsive governance in Nigeria is a product of the poor leadership recruitment process, which has characterized our political process. The consequence is that it produces all manners of people in supposedly revered position. Our Senate has exhibited the characters that reveal the level of deficit. It has become so bad that our senate failed to recognize the importance of national and state identification systems in security management. This is has become more worrisome in the face of on-going security challenges in the country. If our senate is not worried about the lives of Nigeria citizens, Governor Rochas Okorocha is a people oriented leader, who would not watch Imo citizens littered and roasted with bombs. Governor Okorocha has simply done what our senators enjoy when they go to climes, where leaders are sensitive to the plight of its citizens. Our Senate is putting some crazy doubts in the minds of sound minds on their responsiveness to the security of the people. The Senate I respect so much must live above politics and collaborate with the peoples Governor to guarantee the security of Nigerians contrary to the terrorism regime threatening the security of the nation. Rather than politicize the great initiative of Governor Okorocha, the Senate should tow the line of proactive governance for the good of Nigerians. Prince Chinedu Obi (Ohamadike)
