The official definition of the word “Health” The World Health - TopicsExpress

The official definition of the word “Health” The World Health Organization defines it as: “A state of complete physical, social, and mental well-being” Ever heard of Mind, Body & Soul? We must nourish ourselves in three different ways, we are what we eat; our food becomes part of us. We are what we eat and we are also HOW we eat! Become your body’s best friend and stop the pointless diets with all the food rules, after all, everyone knows diets never really last. Let me help you Reprogram your brain and find out what really good food actually tastes like! A good friend of mine was always a pretty good cook and as teenagers we ate pretty healthy in all aspects but somehow, as addictions go, he kept pushing the envelop on adding things to food, salt, spices marinades etc. to the point that he never actually tastes the food anymore. He is actually over 300 lbs. now and becoming mentally broken. So if you watch any weight loss show from “The Biggest Looser” to “Extreme-Weight-Loss” you always see a reprogramming of the brain in many aspects battling the food addiction. Healing, yes healing. So let’s look at being “Healthy” in a new light – Physical, Social and Mental well being. I can begin to help you use the good taste of food to promote sound nutrition. The new perception sets of different food textures, food before and after tastes, how you feel during and after you eat certain foods; your taste buds will be under my control helping the brain into launching a new “Taste-Memory” and getting a reprogramming from me and teaching the new ways to EAT and Enjoy food! Believe me your own neurobiology will begin keeping track of what is good for your body, how you feel and how delicious it all is. After all the more you savor your food the more you profit from its nutrients; the neuropath’s will relearn and become stronger. Your neurobiology keeps track of the healthy feeling as well how delicious it is. He is the KEY: we need to every meal find ways to take pleasure in each meal (healthy meals on apply here-see the recipe section to come soon!) we need to savor breakfast, lunch, dinner and the ever important grazing snacks of the day. Let me give you an example, I watched my father eat a huge bowl of ice cream, large spoonful’s and just swallowing. I slowly attempted to teach him to slow down and feel the creaminess and savor the flavor by letting each spoonful melt in his mouth and then recover to normal temperature. I know Ice cream is a bad example; I used it because you’ll understand what I mean a whole lot more as we have all let it melt in out mouth before! Also this is healthy moderation of snacks! Remember daily stress causes a psychological imbalance in our relationship with FOOD, pushing us into cycles of compulsive indulgence and depravation. (Not to mention a lack of water! – well cover that later!) And one last part chew your food well, I won’t explain why since that would take a few pages and some medical references. Chew it well and slow down before you swallow and a little tip; swallow some water with every bite!
