The old Anastasia and the new Anastasia almost joined forces today. This middle aged (35-45) year old white man leans towards me from the back and says to me Whole Foods dont really let Black people work here do they? He wasnt even my customer. The customer I had was like what did he just say to you? I was like you heard right. Boulder let me get one thing straight for you, this town with beautiful mountains but no diversity can kiss my ass. Ppl have ONE MORE TIME to be rude, and not roll your eyes rude, but rude to make me feel uncomfortable about me being Black and Ill be in the papers. Whole Foods is a GREAT place to work. And all of my team members are thee shit. My Sup Henry is the Sups of all Sups. That man is awesome. The thing that I hate Is this town is so confused. Lost in money, material things and in their ways. News flash, its 2014! Why is race an issue? Why cant I be my colorful ass self. Most ppl dont appreciate my uniqueness. I barely have friends and Im ok with that. My phone barely rings and buzzes once a day. Im ok with that. What I am NOT ok with is someone being rude to me because of my hair. Im not a wild animal, foreign, or a creature from the wild. Stop treating me like Im something that doesnt belong. Im sick of being around stupid ass people who are in such culture shock their children ask Why does she have weird hair and why does it look like that? Teach your children you nimrods. Rant over.
