The old Rail Road Bridge over Big Brush Creek north of Dunlap, notice the metal signboard on the first image, 40.1 was the mileage from this point to Bridgeport Alabama, each bridge north on the line had a mile marker on them as the railroad began there. Nashville Chattanooga & St. Louis Rail Road, built the original branch line to Pikeville, then it became L&N, CSX, Seaboard and at the end Sequatchie Valley R.R. We have the original enamel Dunlap Depot sign at the Coke Ovens Museum. Old R.R. Cross ties had metal date nails in them so that they could keep up with life of the wood, people collected them so guess that didnt work out. Note box of tie nails donated by Scott Pilkington to the museum. The bridge was cut up for scrap when the line to Pikeville was torn up,
