The older I get, the more tears I shed nearly every single time I listen to this section of music (58:12-1:02:05) from Beethovens 9th Symphony. 1:00:38 is still one of the most cathartic and amazing musical moments for me that was ever written. And of course, the climactic ending at 1:18:53 is probably the music Heaven will enter into earth with, or something like it. To realize that this proceeded from the MIND of a man who was DEAF is to be introduced to the miraculous. To think that human beings are capable of such acts of creations is simply stunning the more one thinks about it. Music is a constituent element of the created order itself, being nothing more than vibrating air molecules. And yet, it takes the power of the human mind and genius to create physical instruments which allow us to coax these fundamental forces of the universe into the open, and thereby create, if we are so inclined, works of great beauty. To come in contact with music is to experience the human version of what God Himself did in the beginning: the creation out of nothing a new thing by the organization of chaos. Therein lies its power. I cant help but believe in God when I hear music like this. youtu.be/Vypj9NCINdM?t=58m52s
