The one downside to Palmer United Party doing well and actually winning per say 3 to 6 seats at the election IMO is that the party is very, very unlikely to support Labor to form minority government, and the other catch 22 with PUP is that the party is at ideological odds as it were with Katters Australian Party, so the party is very unlikely to negotiate on policy terms with KAP or independent MPs who might be in the position to hold the joint balance of power. So for me I have to either back KAP or PUP, its just too conflicting for me to back them both.
