The one thought that keeps coming into my mind while watching the news on the Republican Reactions to Obamas plan: Referring to Dreamers and their families as illiterates and intellectually challenged; the predictions of anarchy as clarified by Sen. Coburn as meaning violence. The people speaking are not local racists, they are highly placed government functionaries, Representatives and Senators, and some are Presidential hopefuls. Never do I recall hearing such terms from members of the Congress against entire groups of people. Only in the Jim Crow days of the Dixiecrats was there anything related to it, but they were a minority group. These people speaking are of the Majority now, and quite a large one at that. They speak of the will of the people and now believe they need not hide or modify their true beliefs and the rhetoric to express them. In other words, they are no longer using code - they feel safe to come out with their racial hatred and hate mongering of their constituents. They still have to be a small bit careful in speaking of Black people, but Latinos are fair game for any kind of smear and slur. This is the Republican Position as a Party, not just some rogue members. This is identical to Hitlers tactics - the members of the government constantly slandering and labeling an entire group of people, and entire culture, with a sizeable portion of the national population, and referring to them as subhuman, deficient in all human abilities, worthy only of the grossest injustices and persecution. That is the message that is coming across; the Republican Party no longer a legitimate American party; it is our Fascist Party, and it is attempting a major Pusch, a takeover for corporations over the blood of an ethnic group. And I fear the people of the United States are already okay with that; the years of Fox,Koch and Rove propaganda have had their effect. Only 38% of the country agrees with the President. Human beings more naturally respond to hate and anger over scapegoats outside of their in-group than they do to respect and human equality for all human beings. Republicans constantly use the noun Illegal (Romney is notorious for his public use of that label, and Illegal is equivalent to Kike and N****r. The risk for the President is that his moral decision will allow the rabble to be roused as never before - to hear people of power in the government use the terms and descriptions of human inferiority pointing at an entire ethnic group, and to call out an African American President as unlawful, totally illegitimate in what is a common executive action that all Presidents have used. The action is deeply specific and requires an enormous amount of accountability to those it benefits. The racist agenda of the entire Republican Party throughout the United States, in the Congress, Statehouses, Governors Mansions, etc. is now out in the open, it is no longer being disguised, and will become more and more overt when the Republicans take over in January. Thanks America. We now know where you stand.
