The only reason the Kochs are pushing for a resurgence of monarchy (dictatorship) is because monarchy is the easiest way to rob natural resources from everybody else. Saudi Arabia is proof of this. Saudi Arabia is the last standing absolute monarchy in the world. Despite being the most oil-rich nation, they have an extremely high poverty rate. Contrast this with the state of Alaska and the state of Colorado. Alaska is also an oil-rich jurisdiction, but they redistribute their oil profits to all residents with a citizens dividend program called the Alaska Permanent Fund. Through the ballot initiative process, Alaskans have abolished absolute poverty in their state. Then theres also the case of Colorado, where local ballot initiatives were used to determine whether residents of oil-rich counties wanted fracking happening near their properties. Some counties, of course, voted down fracking. A federal judge, however, had different plans for these residents properties and environment. The judge over-ruled their directly democratic decisions and said oil companies can do whatever they damn well please with our properties and environment. It should be clear to see that monarchy doesnt protect anybody except for the ultra-rich.
