The open carriers of the long guns are extremists due to pushing their movement upon the public in a manner in which they are shoving a potentially dangerous tool in everyones faces. Do the OCAs honestly believe they are going to run into a politician in public? A majority of the time, the OCAs arent going to capital hill with their homemade signs like every other special interest activist. The OCAs are making a political statement to every innocent person around them in an attempt to deter the .01% of the obvious suspects. The open carry advocates are more than welcome to wear a sign on their backs and on their vehicles instead of wearing their long guns as if its the next big fashion statement. Honestly, this is the USA; its not Mexico, Syria, Somalia, Iraq, Israel, or other nations in which the people are at their throats with each other. Or are we more like those other war ridden countries than we actually believe?
