The organisers for the Argentina vs Portugal friendly at Old Trafford are wondering why they have only sold about 17,000 tickets... I can only speak for myself here but running quick calculations it boils down to this: - Tickets behind either of the goals: £40 (plus fee, plus delivery) - Train tickets, return journey London Victoria to Manchester Picadilly (which you might miss because the last train is at 22:24 and match is at 20:00): £150 !!!!! - Taxi ride from Old Trafford to make that train...: £20-40? - Optional overnight stay: £40-50 I presume - Train tickets with overnight stay: £70+ return Goodness forbid you get hungry or fancy a pint. I think I will pass and take the pundits word for it that Messi and Ronaldo are really great, lol. Damn, I had forgotten how crazy scary this country is. For my non-British friends, that is about $360 give or take before you have included food or drink. Thats for a friendly match.
