The organisers of the symposium seemed to think that bringing in a couple of Italian language students from the local university would suffice for such an event. The two unsuspecting female “interpreters” soon demonstrated that they were way out of their depth, couldn’t cope with the subject matter, didn’t know the terminology and were overwhelmed in front of a crowd of participants and media.
