The original term for Police was policy officers who collected - TopicsExpress

The original term for Police was policy officers who collected debts for feudal lords. Later, they moved their revenue collection to roads and cities where their victims were easy targets and businesses needed protection from the criminal elements. Today, the policy officers and revenue collectors have monthly quotas they must fill the same as assembly line workers. The first step in this highway robbery scheme is to make laws that very few people think are good, like tinted window infractions, breaking the speed limit, talking on a cell phone or failing to click that seat belt. I have a car that will do 150 mph. My last one would do 180. The speed limits in my state are 55 to 75. Why are manufacturers allowed to build vehicles capable of more than doubling the speed limit to begin with? My last car had 8 air bags and my current vehicle has 6 so why do I need a seat belt when the speed limit on my city streets is 25 to 35? Cops are also constantly on their phones or police radios and are always fiddling with their on board computer devices while eating donuts and drinking coffee. They also endanger lawful drivers and pedestrians by engaging in high speed pursuits of people suspected of minor crimes and moving violations with reckless disregard for public safety. I dont think the police are really all that concerned with saving lives...just filling their quotas and playing cowboys.
