The other day I came across this girls instagram. She posted her before and after boob job photo and noted on how flat she used to look and how much happier and better she was/looked after. Im not against plastic surgery because I think people should be able to do what they want with their body, but it actually made me feel bad about myself. Her old boobs, the ones she called flat, were the same size as mine. But thats the thing, I actually compared myself to someone else because they got a fricken boob job. Its just amazing how much someone else can impact the way you feel about yourself. And in this world and on the internet how can you not? Vanity is very important in todays society and with the right money you can be whoever you want. Truthfully, that cant be great for anyones self-esteem. Especially for kids growing up and watching their moms go on diets, or hearing about celebrities getting plastic surgery; maybe theyll start to think, if its not good enough for them, then why is it good enough for me? Maybe theyll turn to themselves and start to become aware of the improvements they can make on themselves. Maybe Im just bitter cause Ill never get a boob job, but the thought of that makes me sad.
