If Muslims would study the bible from a BIBLICAL perspective as opposed to trying to interpret it to make it blend with the quran or just blindly accept the lies that their imams and/or their Islamic websites tell them, they would DISCOVER THE MESSAGE THE BIBLE INTENDED YOU TO HEAR! Now I will post one of the responses. While this response is respectful, it still reveals to us almost every unlearned aspect of the bible that you throw at us daily. MY RESPONSE: Notice here that Tajudeen did not admit that he actually read the bible, he just made the claim that he knew more about the bible than we know about the quran. Well lets just use one example of the quran and test it against all we know in the bible. And if this one example is PROVEN FALSE, then there is no more need to continue learning more about the quran. 7:157 Yusuf Ali Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;.... All that is needed is the beginning of the verse as it is the crux of the error and we all know that the entire verse nor the surrounding verses or other corresponding verses or passages does not change the context of the verse. Before we tackle the biblical evidence, I want to tie this in as well. The Catholic bible contains books in addition to the bible such as the Catechisms, puts the Apocrypha in their bible which does add some historical relevance, but are not completely compatible with the bible in its entirety which is the reason it is only in the Catholic bible and not all other translations. In addition you all make these claims that there are books that have been hidden from us that no one has seen that will proclaim muhammad as the prophet foretold of by Moses or the Comforter foretold of by Jesus. Well let me shed some light on that. These books DO exist and have been known for centuries. They are the gnostic gospels and are not hidden at all. But if you choose to make them the authority, you have to acknowledge all of it as well which would be to your disadvantage as it contains info that contradicts both the bible and the quran. So make no mistake. Everything that the quran states that contradicts the bible is in existence in one form or another. But for the reason that they completely contradict history and contains info that is inconsistent with the bible and its Source of inspiration, they are not found in it. And this is what you are trying to call the original bible. There is nothing original about it. The bible you are trying to depict never existed. So instead of giving you indepth answers to all of the references you speak on, I will focus on an indepth explanation on the Comforter and all the bible has to say about Him. I will use a unique approach to bring the point home. And if you are to be honest, after you read this, you will have no choice but to conclude that the Comforter is the Holy Spirit of God and not Muhammad. In every Comforter verse, I have substituted Muhammads name in place of the Comforter and asked some pertinent questions for you to ponder in each example. All of these examples have been claimed as uncorrupted passages by Muslim apologists regarding Muhammad being the Comforter. So in that light, please take the time to consider the questions I have asked regarding these uncorrupted passages. Now I have encountered those who attempt to use the Paraclete translation argument in the past. In the context of this post, what Paraclete translates to is irrelevant for one simple reason that is brought up in almost every example verse given. Keep in mind, that in every example, Jesus is speaking to His disciples. And Jesus states that the Paraclete will appear in the lifetimes of the disciples. And John 20:21,22 shows Jesus actually fulfilling His prophesy by breathing the Paraclete into His disciples. So this complete post can boil down to just one question when you read these passages in their correct context. Did Muhammad exist in the lifetimes of Jesus disciples? And this will be demonstrated below. John 14:15-17 (Jesus speaking to the disciples) 15“If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16And I will pray the Father, and He will give you Muhammad, that He may abide with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 1. //16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you Muhammad// Jesus will give who Muhammad? The disciples. This question is going to be the common theme in each passage. Did Muhammad exist in the lifetimes of the disciples? 2. //...that he may abide with you forever---//Muhammad claimed several times that he is nothing more than a warner. If this is the case, then how is it possible for him to adopt the eternal capacity of DWELLING with anybody forever? 3. //the Spirit of truth,//Muhammad a pre-existent spirit? This is another characteristic of an eternal being, which muhammad is not. 4. //for He dwells with you and will be IN you.//Does muhammad have the ability to DWELL IN the disciples as well? John 14:26 (Jesus speaking to the disciples) 26But the Comforter, Muhammad, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 1. Did God the Father send Muhammad in Jesus name? 2. Did Muhammad teach the disciples in their lifetimes all things and bring to their remembrance all things that Jesus said to them? John 15:26 (Jesus speaking to the disciples) 26“But when Muhammad comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 27And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning. 1. //...whom I shall send to you (the disciples) from the Father//Again...did Jesus send Muhammad from the Father? And did the disciples //bear witness// of Muhammad hundreds of years before his physical birth as a spirit? John 16:7 (Jesus speaking to the disciples) 7Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, muhammad will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 1. And yet again...//... if I(Jesus) do not go away, Muhammad will not come to you (the disciples); but if I (Jesus) depart, I (Jesus) will send Him (Muhammad) to you. (the disciples)// Here again we have evidence that the Comforter is going to appear in the lives of the disciples in the not too distant future. So I repeat. Did Muhammad exist in the lifetimes of the disciples? So if Muhammad were the Comforter, this entire synopsis would have to be 100% true or the claim falls apart. Our Father who art in heaven sent Muhammad to the disciples in Jesus name, as a spirit, hundreds of years before Muhammad was physically born to dwell with AND IN the disciples and to teach and bring to remembrance everything that Jesus said to the disciples. NOW THESE ARE THE PASSAGES THAT ARE THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROMISE JESUS MADE TO THE DISCIPLES IN THE OTHER FOUR PASSAGES REGARDING THE COMFORTER. In this case, since the bible claims that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter, I have substituted Muhammads name in place of the Holy Spirit to illustrate the point. John 20:21,22 21So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22And when He had said this, He breathed on them (the disciples), and said to them, “Receive Muhammad. So Jesus breathed Muhammad into His disciples? Luke 24:45-49 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; (Muhammad?) but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high. So Jesus is telling His disciples to stay in the city until Muhammad arrives and after that he and Jesus disciples are going to Jerusalem and beyond to preach in Jesus name that He suffered, died and rose from the dead on the third day for the forgiveness of sins and they should repent from sinning? Acts 1:8 8But you will receive power when Muhammad has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Again, so Jesus disciples will receive power when Muhammad has come upon them? Acts 2:33 33Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of Muhammad, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. And yet again, Jesus disciples received the promise of Muhammad that the Father poured out on them? In conclusion. If you are going to be honest with yourself after reading this, it is my genuine prayer that you conclude that it is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for Muhammad to be the Comforter spoken of by Jesus in the bible.
