The other day I saw a post and elsewhere in some forums by otherwise responsible people who are AAP supporters about to Modis wife staying with Ramdev and alluding to honeymoons and her safety with Ramdev. Is this the standard of propaganda we have to resort to nowadays just to oppose one person politically ? On pointing out the disservice they are doing to the lady by such allusions, the gentleman is question said that he was just reporting a news article he happened to see. Whew ! Another AAP supporter claimed that the entire Gujarat Judiciary has been bribed, apart from being in contempt, the persons attempt to denigrate one of the pillars of Democracy, namely the Judiciary in my opinion was a pathetic attempt, but leads one to think that denigrating and destroying democratic and statuary institutions seems to be a well thought out strategy being used once again by AAP and its supporters. As a citizen of the worlds largest democracy one should have faith in the institutions that have kept us as a functioning democracy even after 60 years of severe challenges including that of Indira Gandhi and her son Sanjay Gandhi. This faith should be translated into respect for these institutions which at times have remained the only bulwark against individual tyranny. Subverting these institutions is shortsighted and reducing ones good sense for supporting a political party is a very sad thing to do. I can understand illiterates and lunatics cheering the likes of Togadias and Owaisis , I cant understand people who are otherwise educated and responsible behaving in the same way wrt to some issues which are completely crass and forgettable.
