The other day I shared my video and blog about the upcoming It Cosmetics Special makeup kit that will be on QVC for one day only on Jan 19th. Im testing all the products out thoroughly this week but before I posted the full review I wanted to show you guys a sneak peek at the kit. I know so many of you were so excited to see what was in it as much as I was and I thank all of you for always giving me such kind and thoughtful feedback! Well, my video got shared on a beauty board and was met with some very unkind posts, a few that were downright mean and they were definitely throwing down the haterade! You guys know im all about personal development, learning to become better, improve yourself and grow but you can only do that when you have well intentioned people who give you constructive criticism (when you asked for them!) and only want to see you get stronger! Well, that was not the intent behind some of these posts and because it was really the first time ive received such harsh feedback I admit that it really got to me....but only for about 12 hours but in those 12 hours I took everything down. After talking to some of my tried and true friends who really do give me honest feedback that I totally respect and trust, I decided the haters cannot win! This was a very huge learning lesson for me and I refuse to let a few very negative and mean spirited comments from people who probably have way bigger issues of their own than my style of rambling videos and im just not their cup of tea and thats perfectly okay! But please dont tell me to just suck it up and deal with it because I choose to put myself out there more. I think thats wrong! While I will learn to focus on the people who are kind and have positive intentions & ignore the negativity, I think that we should also hold people to a higher standard and not accept bullying type behavior even from people who hide behind a computer/smart phone screen! Phew! Im glad I got that off my chest. Thank you again to all of you who treat each other here with kindness, thoughtfulness and when you dont necessarily agree with something you do as Joel Osteen says, If you cannot be positive, at least be quiet. ;) OMG! So with all that said, ive gotten over it, have moved on and put the videos and my blog back up! Heres a short snippet again of one of the five products that im super excited about.
