The other day I was getting my nails done and I asked for a french manicure. I said, simple...White and pink. The lady said, no problem. Ill make them look natural. Needless to say, I walked out with GLITTER tipped Nails. She could see my disappointment. True, it wasnt what I considered natural or what I asked for. She replied, youre not happy so Im not happy. To this I stated, Its not my thing but Im not angry. Inside I felt irked. Then I sat with it a second. They are just nails. Seriously, Marta!!!!! Get a grip! There are times when you get a service done or eat out and maybe they get the order wrong. Ask yourself, in the GRAND SCALE OF LIFE, does it matter? Nope! This lady works 6 days a week for 10 hours a day. Im not Mother Theresa - trust me. However, if your kids leave a mess or if youre late to a function or if the kid behind you in the plane kicks your seat, etc, BREATHE first. Then ask yourself, does it take more energy to make a fuss about it or blow it off? Does it negatively impact your overall quality of life? If the answer is NO, its not a big deal. MOVE ON. Be like a duck and let it roll off your back. Needless to say, I personally felt better and enjoyed my day more by leaving her a bigger tip than by letting her know how much I disliked my glam - fabulous glitter nails. Its a day by day practice. I hope i can be like that more often because i liked how it made ME feel. Your turn. Give it a shot!
