The other day I went to have my nails done at my favorite spot. They are such sweet lovely girls there. That particular day there was a very young new girl, we said hello, she told me I looked like a pageant mom (I did not know what to do with that information) then she began doing my nails. I could feel something was wrong with her, her energy felt heavy... although she remained so sweet and kind. One of the gifts God has given me is the gift of comforting, or of making people feel safe to tell me everything. Suddenly she says to me I shouldnt say this to you, but my body just hurts, my hands hurt, my back hurts and I have to do this for the rest of my life There was something so heartbreaking in the way she said it, she was such a young girl...here from Vietnam to make a new life. By this time we were at the end of my manicure, she began massaging my hands with lotion, I stopped her and I began massaging her hands...then went up to her wrists , then forearm. She looked at me with tears in her eyes... that feels so amazing, no one takes care of me I told her to take slow breaths and let me do this for her. I continued massaging her hands then moved to the other hand and arm. When it was over she just looked at me with so much love, thankfulness and wonder. As for me...I felt full of gratitude that God chose me to love on this sweet girl, before I left I hugged her tight and whispered in her ear You can do anything your heart wishes, Jesus will help. There are many times in a day you can take someones bad day and turn it into a great day. Galatians 6:10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.
