The other day we got talking to our hotel manager, and when we told him our story, he said: Youve been traveling and without a home for 4.5 years! Thats the longest Ive ever heard! When we are on the road and surrounded by nomads like us, we tend to forget that what were doing is kinda batshit crazy. And that it really is quite a long time - neither of us can believe that were creeping up on five years. Which got us thinking - we need to celebrate! Heres what we are debating to do for our vagabondaversary next spring: 1. A return to Bolivia - back to where it all started to see how much that country (and we) have changed since then. 2. Pick five random countries - completely new to us - and throw them all in a hat to let fate decide. 3. Lock ourselves up in a fancy resort for a week and crack a few bottles of champagne. Maybe even invite our family and friends (and you?) to join us by the pool? Any suggestions?
