The other evening around 7pm I was riding my motor scooter through Presidio Heights (Jackson Street to be exact) and every other block I saw white coated valets parking Bentleys, Teslas and Ferraris; presumably for private parties. I dont even recognize many of the changes to my City. The economic gap is sickening. The culture of SF is rapidly changing. I never see kids playing ball in the street. The friendly, small town, unassuming, racially diverse San Francisco of the 40s/50s/60s/70s has become a museum. I am a little sad, a little angry and a little confused... Is this really progress?
