The other problem is that you are a young person with your career going right for you. Then you fight tooth and nail to be in parliament. You go to parliament get a nice salary for 5 years, your standard of living is high, peer pressure kicks in so you decide to live a lifestyle like others. At the end of that 5 years you must fight again to come back, and in politics chances are that dynamics can change drastically and chances are you may not come back. What do you do now? Even if you get a job, what job will you get, because I mean Parliament takes your time and focus also, you cant focus on everything when in Parly. So to some its not a good idea to go to Parliament. To some it becomes a 5 year break from their miserable lives and the break ends and they are back to square one. But we are a myopic bunch some of us mos, arent we? Tomorrow will see for itself.
