The outbreak continues unabated. Many government personnel are ill-informed and ill-equipped to stop EBVs transmission. Without wide-spread government expertise, local groups are standing up and stepping in. Lets do our part so they can do theirs. bit.ly/givecpb Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa allocated rapid grants to 36 community groups and rural media outlets from eight different counties. Each group received fact-based information in plain language, asked questions, dispelled rumors, and networked on how to pool resources. Some groups drove over eight hours to attend. They received MOH-approved posters and banners and direct grants to buy soap, water, gloves, and even clean food. These are modest grants, but its amazing how far they stretch dollars to keep their members safe. We want to reach every county.
