The overpowering liturgy of the Yom Kippur day lingers with us - TopicsExpress

The overpowering liturgy of the Yom Kippur day lingers with us like a hangover. How many times must we beat our chests? How many times must we call out to God? Surely once is enough. And yet, our words every Yom Kippur are a mere glimmer of the constant activity of heaven. The seemingly endless times we cry out one of Gods names is a reminder of the truly endless times that God cries out our names. In every moment of our lives, with every choice we make, the heavens are calling us by name. Sometimes the name is spoken with excitement, sometimes with disappointment, but always with hope and with love. The only question is, can you hear it? When you speak Gods name, can you hear God speaking yours?
