The owls in my naked-limbed yard are active tonight, as the sun goes down on this sunny 70 degree day. From the omelets and mimosas, and a bit of inspirational shopping...some things for organizing the home, some Kendra Scott and pretty PJs, I drove home with the top down on the Mustang and eased into the comfort of winter in South Texas. Being with my daughter, of course, transformed the meal, the stores, and the road into the kind of day I long for and always find personally satisfying. She alone convinces me to take care of myself, to treat myself to a few pretty things here and there. Our children bring us many things, and sometimes they nurture us when we dont.
