The pain, agony, groans and cries of victims of post-election violence (PEV) serious crimes have been muted. Their human rights are completely trampled underfoot. They have been reduced into multitudes of men, women and children who, as a result of poverty, terror or lies, have been made to forget their inherent dignity or to give up the effort to secure recognition of that dignity by others. They have been silenced. Political obstacles have belittled the rights and interests of victims. The notably unwillingness Kenya state and society at large has refused to acknowledge that serious wrongs were committed and that it had devastating effects on the abrogation of human dignity and physical integrity of a fellow human being.
