The passing of our lovely Lace: Every once in a while, a one in - TopicsExpress

The passing of our lovely Lace: Every once in a while, a one in a million dog comes along. Though we may have more than our fair share, I will tell you how lucky we were to know one such dog. Our Lace came to us as a puppy from another home, excited to have one of our first parti schnauzers. We were drawn to her beautiful pastel liver pepper parti coloring, and huge green amber eyes that spoke to us. Eyes that peered into your soul, making it hard not to be drawn into them feeling we were meant to be together. Lace only had eyes for mommy and daddy, wanting nothing but unconditional love. Those eyes, you couldnt help but just melt starring into her adoring eyes. Her elegant personality was second to none, oh so gentle and calm, and always there for us with a gentle tongue. Lace only wanted to make us happy, with all the selfless love she had to give she healed many emotional wounds. She was the happiest soul every waking moment, you couldnt help but smile every time you looked at her. Her waggy butt was a dead give away when she had nothing but happy little fairies dancing in her head. Lace was happy hanging on the couch, taking a walk in the woods, or playing with her puppies. Like any red blooded schnauzer, always nose to the ground. Though she never killed a single creature in her life, not so much as an insect. Over the years, she never changed, and was always there for us to give hugs, smiles, life altering kisses, and being the perfect example of emotional support. Thinking about the helpless feeling not being able to stop it being her time, I walk around lost like something is missing in my life. Lace succumbed to multiple strokes on 7-16-14, and passed away quietly, as gently as she had lived. But today I find contentment knowing she is forever laying on a cloud with her tongue hanging out, and mesmerizing the angels with her one of a kind addicting eyes. I will forever remember losing myself into those deep green eyes of love and elegance, and how comforting it felt to be in her life. She was the best mother to her puppies, who were just like her... stunning and unbelievably calm and loving. She is survived by her two precious daughters Denim and Leather, so a piece of her lives on. Lacebug, you will live in my heart forever...Pam Costin
