The past 24hrs in Maine... has been filled with common and joyful experiences with the grandkids...my son and his sweetie...and their animals. Then there was the other local grandparents opening their home and playground to us all....swimming/splashing and pushing others into the COLD pool, zipline, treats, social discussions of relationships .... we did a nature hike/picnic including walking a railroad line in the woods. Later we had a good dinner and spent time reading to the kiddos...yep then there was the competition between those children thinking each could dominate my time (nope a balancing act) ... Cooper the one pooch still thinks he can lick my face and get away with it. He tries very hard. LOL. We picked wild blackberries and of course had them right away into the pallet. The one 10yr old said I should move to Maine permanently...and not leave this friday for the west coast....well I had to dance around that one and remind her of the other local grandparents and that I would likely be back next year. Full moon tonight over the treeline with the horse, goats, and llama roaming and running through the back pasture...back to my tent tonight at the campground snuggled into my sleepbag...with a book until I fall asleep...up in the morning for local car repairs and who knows after that.... (a sideline note that my 31yr old #3 son in Tacoma Wa has given the green light for us to hook up when I fly back into Portland Oregon...YEAH!!!!)...ZZZzzzzz nite folks.
