The past several days were spent in Kansas City with John and his family members sorting out the details of his fathers life. Not one for words of affectionate demonstration, it was nonetheless very apparent from the memorabilia he surrounded himself with and the memories others shared that he loved his family. Blessings and peace were found amidst the grief, which is good. We will gather in July for his burial with military honors at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
