The past two weeks has been the most intense, stressful, rewarding weeks of my life. As I sit with a beautiful 2014 Cleanskin Merlot tonight (still waiting on my bottle and t-shirt from Callum) all I can think of is how lucky I am to have so many incredible friends who supported me from the various people on my own campaign to the amazing banter + fun provided by all the other campaigns. I still cant believe that being elected to board is a thing that has happened - and I am so so so excited to get in amongst it and hopefully make a real difference to the current climate of the USU. I couldnt have done it with some special people in particular - Robby Magyar, who was there sitting on Eastern Ave every morning waiting for me to rock up in Bruce at 6.30am. He constantly impresses me with how he has never. ever. treated being a board director as a title - constantly ticking policies off his list and generally getting shit done. Dat boy is on to bigger, better things - and he will deserve every single thing he gets because karma is a biatch + he is a great person. To Jennifer Light who bought me raisin toast every morning, painted a-frames, gave me massages, let me be my cray self and stood by me through some pretty bad chat. To Patrick Massarani for whom there are no words - two. more. years. To the old Unity stock - Dylan Parker + Todd Pinkerton + Kira Spucys Tahar for rocking up to sing with me on Wednesday night, lots of hugs and something else that rhymes with hugs. To the absolute incredible Lewis Hamilton - who had my back every minute of every day, best digital campaign organiser the great state of NSW has ever seen - deserves a promotion and lots of El Jannah xox. To baby Unity - Jesse Sean Sarah Paul Hudson Tiffanie (SORRY IF I FORGOT - youre all amazing.) To the true believers of SLS - Oliver Plunkett Arin Harman Harry Stratton David Pink Casey Thompson youre too good, cant wait for semesters to come (
