The past week kept us busy with several cases of neglect, abuse - TopicsExpress

The past week kept us busy with several cases of neglect, abuse and a case of cruelty. We took in and saved a lot of dogs! We see the bad in people and we see the good in people. We want to say thank you to everyone that donated this week! Thank you to everyone that shared our animals stories! We had a lot of rescues and transporters that have worked hard to get our babies on their way to forever homes! I want to give a special thank you to Officer Alan Campbell and Officer Brandon Moore for your help in saving the lives of the mom and her seven babies! I want to recognize Chief Johnny Dennis for the support he has given in our effort to save our animals. A chief that fights for our animals is a true blessing. With the amount of care that comes with puppies extra help has been needed. I want to say thank you to my daughter, Megan Watson for the thirty hours you put in this week. Megan cleaned, unloaded a trailer full of supplies that came in and took photos of our hard to place dogs. Meg worked daily with four feral puppies that Mr. Carl Williams fed for weeks until they could be picked up and brought in. Those puppies left today headed to a rescue in St. Louis! I would like to say thank you to Donnie Shelton and Laura Ford for always finding time for KHD stories! (The newspaper donation is much appreciated.) The Kennett Humane Department is blessed with amazing people! It takes us all and WE are making a difference!
