The pastor of my home church posted this today and I think that it should read as a Christian... Started reading Paul David Tripps book on pastoral ministry Dangerous Calling this afternoon. It was the good swift kick in the rear end that I needed today. God is reminding me: (1) As a pastor, I am still a sinner in the middle of Gods process sanctification: full of messes, mistakes and failures; (2) As a pastor, I still need Gods grace to cover my messes, mistakes and failures; and (3) As a pastor, I desperately need the Gospel just as much as anyone else. Jesus will never stop loving me and I will never stop needing Jesus. Thank you for sharing Matthew Higgins. People should spend more time examining their own relationship with God.
