The pastoral communities have for decades been faced with an unbearable brunt of famine and drought that calls for immediate humanitarian assistance. It is said that a single organ breakdown in a system sends the whole system in jeopardy. We have seen pictures of our brothers dying in destitution and extreme hunger that break us down; only to share them on the internet in circles with no further assistance. For Africa as a whole to move forward without losing the things that make our continent great we are required to relieve and uplift our brothers of their plights. Southern Aid has for years implemented Emergency Relief programs such as food provision, healthcare, water and sanitation in the arid and semi arid areas of Kenya as well as in Somalia. We work hand in hand with communities in the affected areas in preventing, managing and overcoming situations that drown us in destitution. We also believe that participation of not only the affected ones but also that of the general public will help achieve our common goal of improved living conditions in Africa as a whole.
