The people of Australia did not elect us to make easy decisions, they elected us to take the tough decisions – to do what is necessary for our country, and we’re doing that. The people of Australia understand this country’s fiscal position, left to us by Labor, is simply unsustainable. The debt and deficit was not of our making, but we take the responsibility to fix it. It is only by doing this that we can build a prosperous future for all. The budget includes Australia’s largest ever investment in infrastructure and stablishing a new $20 billion Medical Research Future Fund.
