The people of the Ninth District do not want the government to shut down and they do not want Obamacare, that is why later today I will vote on two amendments to the Senate-passed continuing resolution. These changes will stop a government shut down and delay Obamacare. The first amendment will delay Obamacare for one year and he second will permanently repeal Obamacare’s medical device tax that is sending jobs overseas. These amendments will also change the date of the Senate CR, funding the government through December 15th. In addition to these amendments, the House will vote on a measure to make sure our troops still receive their pay even if the government shuts down.
