The people wanted Jesus to be a king like the other kings for Him to destroyed the Romans kingdom but that was not the Will of God when Jesus was sent to the earth. Jesus is a King but first the Will of God for Jesus on earth was for His to be a humble servant in the way of laying down His life as Savior of the world, to death even death on a Cross for our sins and the Wrath of God. So Jesus was a King to the people but not in the way they wanted Him to be. Jesus was the King they needed but in order for Jesus to the True King, by the Will of God, He humble Himself as a Savior because His people in order to worship Him needed to be saved.
