The perils of eating the food of another culture alone: After my - TopicsExpress

The perils of eating the food of another culture alone: After my shift at the Hindu Temple, Mr GP offered me a cup of coffee at the Temple Canteen. When we arrived, he offered something to eat. I had a masala dosa with spicy potato filling. It was huge. I looked around the room and could see no one eating the same. Since Mr GP offered only a spoon for the soup, I had to assume a dosa is finger food, so I picked it up and dug in. Half way through, the horrifying thought occurred to me-what if, to these people, I appear to be lifting a T-bone steak with both hands and gnawing on the bone? That only made me eat faster. Im pretty sure it was delicious. So please, can someone tell me- dosa, finger food or no?
