The person in charge of our Department that monitors Facebook pages that encourages the spread of badger TB is busy and as I have been bursting all week to catch the latest news on how to eradicate bTB, I just had to pop over and see what I could learn. We all know how this guy says he supports farmers and has them as members of his little group so can you imagine my disappointment at this weeks news from TB UNfree la la land? So, what have we got this week? We have praise for not disturbing badgers after 10pm in Edinburgh. (Is that because badgers dont have TB in Edinburgh?). Next we have a slurry pollution crime in Wales by an former County NFU CHAIRMAN who is has been SPREADING TB by letting TB infected slurry run off down the river causing HUGE damage to the industry. (Did anyone see this on the news like they did the oil refinery spills?). Then we have that horrible DEFRA who are spending £26m on vaccination research declining interference in the culling trial from an anti organisation! What next this week? Ah yes, 20% Liver damage at abattoirs means these cattle have probably evaded a positive TB skin test - but none seem to have got visible lesions!! Next we have criticism of an MP who is advocating rolling out the cull before scientists are permitted to spend 10 years talking while Rome burns! Lastly we have the solution which will eradicate bTB :) AVLAH are making changes to who tests the cattle in 2015. It will now be Private Delivery Partners. I think this involves firms tendering for the work actually so it could make matters worse, who knows?! Well, thats it folks, come back next week and we may be able to report that we have got this TB problem firmly nipped in the bud!
