The philosophy of government presented by our nations founding fathers in the Unanimous Declaration as the rationale for severing political bonds with great Britain , is the foundation for the Articles of Confederation and the U.S. Constitution. Our modern government is being controlled by people who embrace a philosophy opposing that of our founders and in fact have been involved in violating what the founders considered the governments legitimate function ie. securing our God-given unalienable rights. It is therefore, accortding to the founding fathers, illegitimate. The Constitution would never have been ratified if an agreement had not been made to attach a Bill of Rights as amendments after ratification. There were ten of them. Today, our national government is daily violating nine of the ten. This is perpetrated by officers of the government who upon taking office have sworn a solemn oath, an act of sacred trust with the people, to support and defend the Constitution. Some have equated the wilfull violation of their oath with treason.
