The photo below shows the current Google view of the Park Avenue side of the building at 2425 North Adams. This building housed several bars, restaurants and a bowling alley over the years. I have all the Peoria city directory data on the building from 1905 thru 1989 (with a few missing years), so I know the names of the businesses, who owned them and when. My question is, does anybody have any idea why there is a garage door near the corner of the building at Adams (near left), and another garage door on the left that would go into the attached building at 2423? There is no driveway for the left garage, but there is for the one on the right. There is also a newer white door in the center of the photo. Does anyone know if the second floor is still rented as an apartment? In the early 1950s this was called the Concrete Bar, but had other names before and after. Also, would anyone know if this is the original building, circa 1905?
