The pictures and map track of Iniki had me making sure I was prepared and the stories of how some people survived after give me hope that even if its bad then we will all make it through, but as the storm gets closer, I have to say that I do feel a bit of foreboding and sadness in my heart and I find myself tearing up before anything has even happened here. Its sort of my way, I tend to feel strong emotions or (freak out) as some people might call it, in anticipation of events and then usually when they happen, Im the strong one and I can handle while everyone around me falls apart. I hope whatever fate we all share, we can all handle and support each other to feel our feelings and show up with love and strength for ourselves, friends, ohana, and neighbors. Theres one thing I can say for islanders is that even if we have our quarrels, we know we need each other and can come together and I hope everyone remembers what ohana means if it comes down to extremes. My love and prayers for everyone in all of the islands and out at sea during this extreme and unpredictable series of storms. xo
