The pictures are of our adventures in the hospital the last 2 day. We love Shands cair! They came ALL the way to CA to bring Camden back to Florida about a year and a half ago. Camden has had a rough day. We think he may have something going on with his ears, he winced and got VERY upset when they put the drops of Colace in there (it helps the wax clump and fall out), and noise sets him off, causing him to scream. We, as parents, miss all the old attendings and how the families and drs worked as a team. It was asked last night if Camdens ears had been checked (they brought it up during rounds that the attending wanted them cleaned out and checked since we noticed some abnormalities) and the response was a very snippy, why would we do that? Its very frustrating, we understand that we can be a pain but that is because we are advocating for our child who cant advocate for himself. Some have asked a few questions. Camden is very rarely left alone at the hospital. Yesterday we felt horrible that he seemed to spend most of the day alone; we had the CMN event, broken hearts dinner (in the unit) and Dustin came home to get new clothes and shower. Dustin stays with Camden most nights in the hospital due to Parker being exclusively breastfed and he REFUSES bottles and will starve himself (screaming most of that time) until Dustin brings him back in the morning. I feel horrible that Dustin stays with Camden and works here so its like hes never leaving and I feel bad cause I dont want Camden to think I dont like staying with him. I am having a lot of stress and anxiety about my pending trip to wa w/Parker for my brothers wedding. Dustin brought it up today and we had to quickly stop talking about it. I have a fear that something will happen to Camden and he will pass away while Im gone. And while one cant play the what if game his heart is very very sick, yes a tiny bit better but still very sick.... So realistically if his heart decides to quit..... Fingers crossed I may have found something I can do working from home, I used to work 40 hours a week when we lived in the panhandle. Camden had Medicaid and we had an Inhome nurse for when we were working, we now have Parker so he would need Inhome care as well and Camden doesnt qualify for Medicaid. (Reapplying). Its blue Friday tomorrow #gohawks. Seahawks have a bi-week this week so there will be no game. Camden will get his fix because grandma doris send a Seahawk DVD. :). We love you all and thank you for following Camden on his journey.
