The pin meeting before the summer break... Dear Investor, What another cracking meeting the Sevenoaks pin was on Thursday 11th July 2013. (https://sevenoakspin.co.uk ). If you were unable to make it, shame on you, as you missed what was had to be one of the best meetings held there so far. There was the great blend of experienced investors mixing and sharing their knowledge with those new to investing. The evening started with a mortgage update by Mike Richards of mortgage concepts. Our first speaker was Doug Ponsford, now normally speakers champion you to buy property using this strategy or that strategy. Doug was mind blowingly different. Doug’s presentation was on the mindset of a successful investor. As Doug put it, you first have to get your mindset correct and know where you want to end up otherwise you are like a ship without a rudder and will probably crash into the rocks. Doug showed why it is vital to have concise and clearly written down goals, and the steps necessary to achieve the success you thought that you could only dream of. Doug explained that it is 80% mental and 20% technical to become successful, showing us that our current programming is delivered to us unknowingly in our first 6 years of life, fortunately it can be changed!!
