Hear our own children talk about their experiences as the children of Tivoli Gardens join us LIVE on location. We will also be examining the UK’s decision to pay reparations to Kenya for the Mau Mau Uprising of the 1950s. Another important date to mark for June 16th is the birthday of Leonard Howell, “The First Rasta”. We will honour this important figure of Jamaican History on Saturday as well. The programme will include: • The Glenmuir High School Drummers! • South African Anthem Sing Off • CXC Corner: the CXC syllabus and the extent to which it promotes knowledge of the anti-apartheid struggle in South Africa and Nelson Mandela • Prizes and surprises!
