The plan is to demolish ranks mill now that it has Closed! Typical, another one of our Treasured buildings going by the wayside! we have lost so much of our heritage. Are we goin to sit back and Moan while it gets demolished as happened with the theatre Royal or act now and protect this treasure. What better place to have a Museum to Barry docks Glorious and WORLD beating past than in Ranks mill? An Action group should be formed to petition ABP, the Vale Council, the Welsh assembly Government to protect this Listed building and give us a museum where our children can learn of the importance of Barry docks during both World wars, the Suez Crisis and its World Record breaking Coal exporting days. The Barry railway could also be immortalised here. With david davies overlooking from his prominent position outside the Dock office, Im sure he would approve?
