The plan was grandiosity on a microcosmic scale. Perhaps I was merely delusional. I was concerned about the damage to our society caused by our inability to tolerate our political differences. I naively thought maybe I could find some answers by starting a dialogue between the extremes on each side. Ive lived in both worlds, after all, and have friends aplenty on each end of the spectrum. I just thought it would be great if each side would both talk and listen to the other side. So, I started throwing out the wedge issues, sometimes with my position, sometimes not, hoping everyone would soon discover how much they shared in common. I certainly didnt expect to solve any problems, just hoped to get some insight into how they might someday be solved. There have been suggestions: some suggest I shut the hell up, some suggest I quit being a manipulative puppeteer, some suggest I am just stupid. Im open for any other suggestions. I suggest I work harder on my golf game, which currently sucks...
