The plight of a school boy who almost lost his leg following an accident involving a school bus has brought to the spotlight the condition of school vehicles and the safety of children. Some schools have buses to convey children from one point to another. Unfortunately, the condition of some of these vehicles leaves much to be desired. The rickety buses or vans are in many in stances overloaded exposing our sons and daughters to danger, when we have paid for their safety and comfort. I have seen a fully-loaded school bus without wiper on the road when it was raining.
