The poem continues... Dec. 22 PM in the Kalendar: Base, The Bottom of All Things 1 January The Bottom of All Things 000000 000001 Morning turns to noontime, The cycle of decline begins. Yin is in ascendancy, forming a basin for Existence, grounding the Center Kross which impales the Essence. It is not a root, which returns to the soil and soot. It is not ground, which begins grandly but then goes ’round. Base is the Initiating Bottom, Ace of Places, before all Beginnings which come at twenty past midnight. It is the cradle of the Christ, It is the manger of the Baby, It is the grave of the ancestors, the place which catches the tears of all the gods and goddesses. It is the Base of All-That-Is. Lo, it is the baking of the Bread of Life! It is big as the Kosmos, not big as graves are big with dim-witted questions or an epic poem is big with History, but big as a biscuit, hard and crisp, ready to complete its purpose. thekalendar/base/
