The poem for today is called, How hard have you tried? Friend, if you dont mind me asking, theres one thing Id like to know, Would you like to go to heaven? When youve finished here below? If you would need a Saviour, with the cleansing crimson tide, Now if this is what youre seeking, Just how hard then have you tried? Have you ever made an effort, to believe and faith to share? Or to kneel down at an altar, in humility and prayer? Surely this is not much asking, to be free and justified, If you really want salvation, Just how hard then have you tried? God dont want some great big favor, or some mighty deeds from you, You dont have to prove youre worthy, or youre fit to make it through, Just a word in true repentance, and in Jesus to abide, This is all and if you want it, Just how hard then have you tried? Tell me what will be your answer, if you fail to reach that shore, When you knew you could have made it, and had chances by the score, One thing certain youll regret it, then unless you now decide, if you havent got salvation, Just how hard then have you tried?
