The poem hereunder I used as an introduction to one of the sessions of the training a facilitated. If anyone wants to use it feel free to contatct me through a pm and I will send it to you :) I know you It might surprise you but I know you and have known you all my life. We might have passed each other on the street a thousand times without recognition, and in a crowd your face won’t stand out to me, nor will mine to you. But don’t be mistaken, I know you and you know me. We know each other, believe me when I say so. We have shared the most private and intimate moments, the things we usually try to hide in shame or fear of judgment. Like I saw you when I lacked the courage or the confidence to rise up to the occasion, be who I needed to be and walked away in shame. You were walking next to me. You could have seen me, the times you were hiding in the darkest corners, too scared to move, too scared to be seen and feeling too small to take part in life. I was there with you, even when you would have never guessed. We were together when we were betrayed and hurt to the our core, only to feel that we were too insignificant or unworthy to deserve anything better. I know you, NO, I AM you, like we are everybody else United in our fears, insecurities and ecstatic joy…. sometimes So never feel ashamed , or afraid, or rejected. You are known, You are understood.
