The poetry of Rumi first appeared to me when a loved one handed me his book as a gift and insisted Rumi spoke the truest truth. I was intrigued by the tone of joy in their obsession and grew more and more curious. I had to read Rumi. And I am so grateful I did and do. Rumis poems resonate and echo as if weve heard his words many times within before. His words are a language of love that inspire life and thankfully now my creative thinking process. Rumi understood that “Inside you there’s an artist you don’t know about… say yes quickly, if you know, if you’ve known it from before the beginning of the universe.” Next time you walk by a bookstore head in and search for a Rumi book, read a poem or two and I promise you the clarity and love in his words will inspire you too.
